with individual personality insights
to find aging Japanese a Second Life.
More than 1 in 4 Japanese citizens are over 65. With life expectancy at 85,
retirees are looking at 20+ years of feeling lonely and unproductive.
To meet the challenge, and help seniors find their calling after retirement,
IBM’s "Second Life" AI Algorithm cross-references occupational data,
with participants’ unique personality traits via Watson's deep personality cognitive analytics.
Gaining over US$3mm in media attention and 46 million impressions, the AI system, has so far
helped over 43,000 seniors find a fulfilling path they otherwise wouldn't have identified.
